Zainab Nasrallah, the daughter of late Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah who was martyred in an Israeli strike in Beirut in September 2024, is going to deliver a speech before the Friday prayers in Tehran.
The demonstrators in the rallies have hoisted the flags of the resistance and pro-Palestinian groups, such as the Lebanese Hezbollah and Hamas.
The International Quds Day is an annual event during which demonstrators express their solidarity with the Palestinian people and opposition to the occupation of the Palestinian territories by the Zionist regime of Israel.
The day is seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
This years Quds Day is marked against a backdrop of the Israeli regimes onslaught on the Gaza Strip.
Gazas Health Ministry says at least 50,208 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 113,910 wounded in Israels war on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
Gazas Government Media Office has updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
