Mutual congratulations were exchanged on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in a telephone conversation on Monday.
The prime minister said Malaysia always appreciates Irans stances in support of the oppressed nations in the world, specifically its backing for the Palestinian people and its efforts to establish world justice.
Reaffirming his cabinets commitment to enhancing relations with Iran, Ibrahim described the meeting of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission as a good opportunity to broaden the bilateral ties.
For his part, President Pezeshkian hoped that the Islamic countries would consolidate unity and cohesion to adopt more effective stances against the Israeli regimes heinous crimes and support the Palestinian nation.
Pointing to the arrangements for a meeting of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission between Iran and Malaysia, the president expressed hope that effectual decisions would be made to strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries.
