During his first provincial visit to Kermanshah Province on Wednesday, the Iranian president highlighted the decades of pressure faced by the Iranian nation. He noted that for 47 years, adversaries have attempted to undermine the Islamic Republic and its people, yet they have neither succeeded nor will they succeed, as the threats confronting Iran cannot weaken the nations resolve.
In a meeting with local elites, intellectuals, and cultural figures, Pezeshkian emphasized that regardless of the intentions of other parties regarding peace, the Iranian nation will rise to develop the country, the website of the presidents office reported.
He criticized the US President's comments, stating that Trump made remarks that reveal his profound misunderstanding of the Iranian people, because he fails to recognize the Iranians honor, bravery, patience, and sacrifices.
Pezeshkian categorically rejected the claim that Iran is a source of insecurity, questioning how can they label us as a threat when they have caused the deaths of 60,000 women and children in Gaza through bombings and have deprived this defenseless population of essential resources like water and medicine?
He challenged propagandaagainst Iran, noting that the problem of this country has its roots in policies that impose sanctions and economic terrorism, or advocate for war and destruction.
Regarding the assassinations of Iranian scientists, Pezeshkian remarked, Iranians did not perpetrate these attacks; those who now accuse Iran are the same individuals who targeted Iranian scholars within their own borders.
On international conspiracies against Iran, he asserted that the primary aim of adversaries is to sow division within Iran. He added that the US and its allies have pooled their resources to undermine this nation, yet they fail to grasp that Iran is the land of brave people and cannot be defeated.
Highlighting Irans commitment to regional cooperation, the president stated that the Islamic Republic established treaties of brotherhood and friendship with all neighboring countries, and it has never sought to usurp others land. The Islamic Republic is not seeking territorial expansion; rather, it aims to elevate the dignity and pride of its people, the president said.
Reaffirming Irans principled stance on peace, he stated that the Islamic Republic does not seek conflict, but it will not sacrifice its dignity and pride for the sake of peace. This conviction is deeply rooted in Irans history and culture.
Emphasizing the importance of national unity, Pezeshkian emphasized that if all Iranians, regardless of language, religion, or belief, enhance unity, they will build this land powerfully.
Citing the vision articulated by theLeader of the Islamic Revolution, Pezeshkian underlined that Iranians must strive to be an inspiring example in the region. Unified Iranians can construct a prosperous country, and threats are merely illusions nurtured by Irans adversaries, he added.
He further pointed to the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime, arguing that Israel is the aggressor, which invaded Palestinians territories and conducts daily attacks.
