In comments at a weekly presser on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran has not put any temporary agreement on the agenda in the course of indirect negotiations with the US.
He also flatly denied media stories about plans for a halt to uranium enrichment in Iran for up to three years.
Baqaei emphasized that Iran has never sought to waste time in the talks.
We have entered the course of talks seriously and purposefully with the intention of reaching a fair agreement. We have proved our seriousness, he underlined.
Asked about a proposal made by Oman to narrow differences between Iran and the US, Baqaei said what is clear is that Iran will definitely maintain its enrichment activities as part of the nuclear industry.
The spokesman also rejected the false news about investigation of 31 sites in Iran.
Iran and the US have held five rounds of talks since April 12, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Irans nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
