DUBAI, 9th April, 2025 (WAM) -- Middle East Energy 2025, held at Dubai World Trade Centre, has attracted significant European participation, underscoring the event's growing importance as a key international platform in the energy sector, according to representatives of participating European pavilions.

Officials highlighted that their main goal is to support national companies-particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) - by providing them access to Gulf and broader Middle Eastern markets, as well as those in Africa and Asia. They also noted the exhibition's role in fostering partnerships, exploring innovations, and expanding commercial networks.

Heike Schttler, Director of Global Trade Fairs at the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, said this year marks Germany's largest presence in the event's history, with 85 companies showcasing technologies across the energy spectrum - from cabling systems and electrical insulation to solar and wind energy, and precision electronics.

Schttler added that while some firms focus on the UAE and GCC markets, others aim to use the platform to tap into wider regions, including Africa and India.

Alice Bertazzoli, Senior Professional for International Promotion, External & International Relations atthe Italian Federation of Electrical and Electronic Companies (ANIE Federazione), stated that the Italian pavilion features 37 companies across the entire energy value chain, with additional Italian firms participating independently.

She emphasised the importance of supporting SMEs and using the event not just for deals but for networking, knowledge exchange, and tracking global energy trends.

Christian Kien, Project Manager of the Austrian pavilion, said Austria has participated in the exhibition for many years. Ten Austrian companies are present this year, seeking to meet existing clients in the region and explore new partnerships.

Marcela Klinekova, Project Manager at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, said the Czech pavilion, organised by the ministry, includes 10 companies from sectors such as solar energy, connectivity, and modern energy solutions. She underlined the government's commitment to promoting Czech companies and helping them expand in Gulf markets, describing Middle East Energy as a key regional platform for growth and international engagement.
