SHANGHAI, China: BMW is set to incorporate artificial intelligence from Chinese startup DeepSeek into its upcoming vehicle models in China starting later this year, CEO Oliver Zipse announced at the Shanghai auto show this week.
"Key advances in AI are happening here. We are strengthening AI partnerships for integration in our vehicles in China," Zipse said during his address. "Starting later this year we will integrate AI integration from DeepSeek in our new vehicles in China."
The move highlights BMW's commitment to expanding its technological footprint in China, the world's largest automotive market, by tapping into local innovation.
