ATHENS, 7th May 2025 (WAM) -- President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt reaffirmed Egypt's continued intensive efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to residents of the territory, as part of Egypt's commitment to regional stability.
During his meeting with Konstantinos Tassoulas, President of Greece at the presidential headquarters in Athens, President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, whether voluntary or forced.
He emphasised that safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian people is a fundamental pillar for achieving lasting stability in the region.
El-Sisi also underlined Egypt's balanced foreign policy approach, which aims to protect regional security and promote stability across the Middle East. He noted that Egyptian-Greek coordination contributes significantly to regional security and supports enhanced bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
