ABU DHABI, 15th May, 2025 (WAM) -- Younis Haji AlKhoori, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, said that the visit of the US President Donald Trump to the UAE is a significant step that will significantly boost the strong and enduring ties between our two nations.
He stated that the visit reflects the mutual respect and trust shared by the leadership of both countries, and highlights the strategic importance both nations place on driving cooperation across key areas, particularly in the economic and financial sectors, which are key pillars of this sustainable partnership.
AlKhoori emphasised that over the years, the relationship between the UAE and the United States has grown into a broad and forward-looking collaboration. "We've built strong ties across key sectors like investment, innovation, artificial intelligence, digital economy, renewable energy, and trade, areas that are shaping the future of both our countries."
He noted that the UAE Ministry of Finance plays a fundamental role in driving this cooperation forward by developing forward-looking fiscal policies, expanding ties with U.S. financial and investment institutions, and strengthening coordination in global economic forums.
At the Ministry of Finance, we are committed to deepening our economic and financial partnership with the US through bilateral and multilateral frameworks, knowledge exchange, and collaborative engagement in international financial institutions, he said.
"We are confident that the next phase will usher in a renewed momentum in UAE-U.S. financial relations, built on innovation, sustainability, and a shared vision for long-term development," AlKhoori concluded.
