ABU DHABI, 21st May 2025 (WAM) -- Tareq Abdul Rahim Al Hosani, Chairman of Calidus Holding Group, emphasised that the most important feature of the UAE's industrial experience is the integration of vision, approach, and capabilities, based on advanced infrastructure, smart industrial policies, and thoughtful openness to global markets.
He pointed out that thanks to this integrated approach, the UAE has today become a regional and global centre for quality industries, the green economy, and advanced technology.
In his remarks on the occasion of the "Make it in the Emirates" Forum, which began at ADNEC Abu Dhabi yesterday and continues until May 22, Al Hosani said that the forum has never been just a slogan, but rather an ambitious national vision that embodies, in its essence, goals, and objectives, the determination of our nation, the confidence of our wise leadership, and the potential of our industrial sector to be a fundamental pillar of the UAE's sustainable growth and to become a regional and global leader.
He added, "We at Calidus Holding Group believe that investing in national industry in all its sectors, with the defence industries at its core, is not just an economic choice, but a national and strategic duty imposed by rapid global developments and dictated by the nation's best interests. This enhances self-sufficiency in the knowledge-based industries sector, contributes to the transfer and localisation of knowledge, and opens up broad horizons for providing quality job opportunities for Emiratis - men and women- in this pioneering industrial sector.
He said, "From this standpoint, we affirm our rock-solid commitment to actively contributing to achieving the goals of "We the UAE 2031" by implementing quality projects and establishing strategic alliances with local and international partners. This, in turn, supports Calidus' position and its national defence products and enhances its credibility as a leading national company in the defence industries technology sector."
He emphasised that every milestone in the UAE's progress proves to the world that a clear, insightful vision, when coupled with determination and hard work, produces achievements that dazzle and inspire. He affirmed that the "Make it in the Emirates" Forum is just launching its fourth edition, which reaffirms the UAE's steady and confident progress toward a promising future based on building a diversified, sustainable national economy, grounded in a solid foundation of knowledge and advanced industry.
He noted that Calidus Holding Group views this Forum as a critical strategic milestone that embodies the visions and directives of the UAE's wise leadership and translates them into solid investment opportunities. He described the Forum as a sincere national call to localise industry, stimulate qualitative partnerships, and empower national competencies to lead our vital sectors into the future.
In conclusion, Tareq Abdul Rahim Al Hosani stated that the global challenges of the defense industries sector require an integrated approach that combines the adoption of advanced technology, innovation, and the harnessing of artificial intelligence at all stages, along with international cooperation, with a focus on developing innovative solutions that contribute to strengthening the national balance in the defense industries sector and achieving self-sufficiency for the UAE, making it a leader in this strategic sector.
