ABU DHABI, 25th April, 2025 (WAM) -- Under the patronage and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the second leg of the UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses will take place tomorrow, at the Anfa sand racetrack in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco. This race marks a key milestone in the 32nd edition of the prestigious series.
Held as part of the UAE-Moroccan Festival, this special edition of the UAE President's Cup brings together eight competitive races and boasts a total prize fund of 250,000-making it one of the most valuable Arabian horse racing events in Morocco's history.
The UAE President's Cup Series continues to enjoy unwavering support from the UAE leadership, with the vision of elevating the Arabian horse racing industry globally, empowering breeders and owners, and preserving the enduring legacy of the Arabian horse.
The Moroccan leg features 17 elite horses representing renowned stables from Morocco, North Africa, and Europe. The contenders will compete in a 2,100-meter Group 3 race for horses aged four and above.
Among the top contenders are BURAAK, by MAHABB-SHUMOOS; GHASHAM, by Dahess out of Al Kadi, the winner of the Grand Prize of HM King Mohammed VI; VICA GRINE, by AF ALBAHAR-DARKA DU FALGAS, who also won the Grand Prize and secured fourth place in the Al Ubayyah Cup; and GASSAAN, by RB BURN-DJEZIKA.
Other notable entrants include Lamine Bouznika, Mamouni Fal, Al Awal, Al Najeeb, Amine Grine, Matrix Al Ashai, Nayel Maamora, Zain El Hala, Zayash Maamora, Al Zaraffa Cham, Rislou Fal, Sawt Essalam RM and Der'h Al Shahania.
Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary General of the Higher Organising Committee of the UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, commented, "The early signs of this exceptional edition highlight the transformative impact of H.H. The presence of 17 contenders in the Moroccan round underscores the Cup's expanding influence across North Africa and Europe, aligning perfectly with our ambition to build a modern, globally recognised racing system."

The UAE-Moroccan Festival, held for the first time under the Cup's banner, features 103 horses across eight races-marking a historic moment for our new vision and an incredible platform for Moroccan talents to shine on the international stage."
